1. General provisions
The Bled Chess Festival (hereinafter referred to as the organizer) organizes a chess festival taking place from March 9 to March 15, 2026, in Bled. By submitting an application, the participant agrees to all terms and conditions listed below.
2. Registration and payment
Registration for the tournament is valid once the application form has been successfully submitted and the entry fee has been paid. The organizer reserves the right to reject or cancel a registration in the event of incomplete information or non payment.
A recommendation or invitation letter for visa purposes will be issued by the organizer only after full payment of the entry fee has been received.
If a participant does not obtain a visa despite submitting the application on time, they are entitled to a one hundred percent refund of the entry fee, provided that they submit official proof of visa refusal issued by the competent authority to the organizer.
3. Competition rules
The tournament is conducted in accordance with FIDE rules and the official tournament announcement. Participants are required to behave in a sportsmanlike and fair manner. The organizer reserves the right to exclude a player in the event of serious rule violations or unsportsmanlike conduct.
4. Program changes
The organizer reserves the right to make minor changes to the schedule, location, or tournament composition due to force majeure or organizational reasons. Participants will be informed of any changes in a timely manner.
5. Personal data
By submitting an application, the participant consents to the processing of personal data for the purposes of tournament organization, including registration, pairings, results, and communication. Data is processed in accordance with applicable legislation, including GDPR.
6. Photography and media
Participants agree that photographs, video recordings, and results created during the tournament may be used for promotional and informational purposes of the festival without additional compensation.
7. Liability
The organizer assumes no responsibility for personal injuries, loss, or damage to participants’ personal belongings during the tournament.
